My name’s Nav and I like making things
My (preferred) name is Nav and I’m a web developer/software developer/whatever-you’d-like-to-call-it based in Oxford, United Kingdom. I’ve been writing code for quite a while now (from the age of 14). I mostly write back-end (server side) code but occasionally write some front-end, too. I’m also learning (and thoroughly enjoying) C++ to start some homebrew development on the Nintendo DS.
I write code because I want to, not because I have to
I’m not the kind of person to develop things for money. A financial profit has never been the primary purpose of any of my personal projects. Infact, all of my personal projects are non-commercial and I’m hoping to keep it that way. To me, programming is a hobby, not a chore.
But that doesn’t mean I don’t want a career in Web Development!
Just to note; when I say personal projects, I mean projects I’ve worked on in my free time. So the above does not in any way mean I’m not interested in a career in Web Dev.
My love for the Internet (and I don’t care if you think I’m sad)
The Internet is something that I truly am amazed by. I have a great passion for it and I feel like my primary purpose in this world is to improve it, which is why I spend about 95% of my free time doing just that.
What I use to make awesome things
Languages I know (in order of ability):
I also have good knowledge of CSS and HTML (but I don’t really think of them as programming languages, because they’re not).
The things I like
Not in any order, by the way
